301A Fuel issues

I ran my tractor low on fuel where it stalled. I have found that the low pressure side of the IP going back to the tank doesn't have good flow leaving the check valve. When I stick a small screwdriver into the top side of the check valve the tractor runs without stalling. Could it be a bad check valve or do I have to bleed the high pressure side of the injector. If I need to rebuild the IP does someone have a link for a download of the repair manual for this pump. It is a Roosa Master. I also need to know where I can find a rebuild kit.

Likely, the check valve has coffee grounds-like debris in it from a failing plastic damper ring in the governor inside the IP.

Remove it and look through it at a bright light. Light should pass through the glass ball inside it and you should be able to see any black plastic debris chunks that are blocking the outlet port or jamming the ball.

If you can get the debris out it should run 'til some more debris finds it's way in there, time to rebuild the IP.

Now I have my ip all apart and am looking to find the new governor weight assembly that replaces the oem. I am not having any luck. Any suggestions where I can order this part?

I got the parts rebuilt the pump and re installed. Tractor running but with reduced power. My time was limited so I had to stop there. I am hoping that it is just air that I need to bleed out. But... I have read something on these pages about back lash? I'm not sure that this isn't the problem. Any suggestions? When I get back to the farm I was going to check a few things. I was going to start it and try to bleed at each injector, then check compression. But not sure which direction I should go, what I should try first.
