JD 6200 Tire Question

My 6200 has 15.5-38 rear tires and 7.50-18 front tires. The rear tires are original to the tractor (1994) and are cracked pretty bad. I am thinking about replacing them with 16.9-38s using the same rims. The 16.9s are quite a bit taller than the 15.5s. Will this work ok? The owners manual lists 18.4s as available on this tractor so I think fender clearance will not be a problem. Thanks, Sid

Sid,
15.5-38 tires can be mounted on W14L and DW14A rims
16.9-38 tires can be mounted on W15L, W15A, W14L, and DW14A rims. Tire should work with existing rims. Tractor speeds will increase about 8.7%
