Got my "new" 420 Crawler home and looking at all the future rebuilds and improvements. starts and runs well . All seems functional. Undercarriage is in much better shape than expected, before I tackle the many overhaul projects- I have one significant issue. I have a milky fluid leak coming from the underside of the hydraulic valve body mounted on top the hydraulic reservoir. Hydraulics work (lift and lower blade) , hydraulic fluid does not appear contaminated. Appreciate any help on my new toy !

If you got the time, you can catch some of that milk and let it set. It will separate and you can see if it was water or not. Foam from air of course will not separate out any water.

One can perform a crackle test to determine if oil is contaminated with water by CAREFULLY dropping a drop or two oil on a hot skillet. If water is present the liquid will crackle/sizzle.
