? for Tx Jim4255 Temp Guage

Went out to plow this morning (too wet). Anyway I noticed that my temp gauge (early design)wasn't showing the point and the little thermometer symbol was flashing. water temp wasn't overly hot and no alerts or beeping horn. Maybe bad temp sensor?

I'll guess bad sensor or loose wire. I think 4255 has 2 temp sensors.

Thanks Jim. Looked at the parts catalog, it shows only one but I'll call parts dept to make sure. will track the wiring, it was working fine the other day when I shut down for the rain but that don't mean nothin.

Parts key 14 & 31 are same sensor but I can't remember how the ambient sensor ners into the picture.

When I talked to the parts guy he mentioned this. Evidently some models had a pre heat option for the intake manifold rather than ether injection on the air cleaner.

Put a new sensor in and walla the gauge works works. Thanks for the assistance.
