John Deere 2020 Rear Rim

Hello everyone. I have a 1963 2020 with a front end loader on it. It's has a gas motor but it's been a faithful tractor to me for the last 15 years. Living way back in the boonys like I do the tractor gets used for a little bit of everything especially the loader to help lift and move things around since there's no one around to help. The only trouble I've ever had with the tractor is the hyd. hoses popping on the loader and that's only because they were the original hose until I finally wised up and replaced them all. But now I have a problem that I can't fix. The rear rims have been getting rough for a while until 1 of them has actually broke from being so rusty it's nothing there to fix. And to make it even worse they are power adjust wheels that I keep adjusted out as wide as possible to make the tractor a little more stable when lifting up things higher than I really should. Can anyone suggest where I can buy another rim or if a tractor of a different color would work ? The tire size on the tractor now is 13.9x36 and they got plenty of tread on them but I'd buy a rim or rim and tire if that's the only way I can buy one. So can anyone tell me where to buy another rim and do I have to go back with a power adjust wheel or can I buy a standard rim without changing the center hub? Thanks for your time and help.

do i have to go back with a power adjust wheel or can i use like a double beveled rim without having to change center hub?

Mine rusted out too (previous owner loaded tires with CaCl). Boought new rims from Deere. Can't remember cost(I'm sure it wasn't cheap- but what else are you gonna do). At least they came pre-painted yellow. Got rid of Calcium in tires too.

John thats what happen to mine too, the calcium ate them up.. did you have the power adjust wheels? Because my dealership said they were no longer available..
Thanks

Your dealership is correct

The part AB5506R is no longer available. Contact your local John Deere dealer for other options.

ASAP web sight; [all states tractor parts, network of salvage dealers] says they have a good used 12x36 - 6 rail power adjust rim ,$150 , other choice is buy a new blank 12x36 rim [smooth on outside, no bevels], there used a lot for dual wheels,.. Then have your locate weld shop cut 'Z' rails off old rim & weld to new blank rim .. We done that on 3010 & 4010 with Power adjust rim , worked great...

That's what size the rear tires are 13.9x36...but i guarantee ya if it's something odd I'd be the one to have it.

Yes. Mine were power adjust too. They were available from Deere 8-10 years ago when I bought mine. Would the after market places have them? Buying the centers too (if you
have to change rim style) won't be cheap.

(reply to post at 04:24:12 04/21/15) [/quotThanks everyone for your time and help. I found a rear rim that is power adjust wheel just had to put a little patch around the valve stem but it's all good. The only thing that wasn't cool was the shop that i got to put the tire on didn't fill the wheel 3/4 full with cal.solution they said they didn't think i could handle the wheel. so now one wheel has 25 gallon and the other has 50..can't understand why people can't just do what you ask and don't get me wrong they were just worried about me handling the wheel by myself but now i got this on on my hands as far as 25 gal in 1 and 50 in the other. Does anyone know of a way to put more fluid in the wheel with out taking it back to the tire shop?
