I have just rebuilt a 414 engine in an old 544B. The master gauge says i'm only carrying 22psi at full throttle. My spec. is 50psi + or - 15psi. The crank was turned .010 on the rods and .030 for the mains. I have plasti-gauged the bearings and the mains all come out with .003 clearance and the rods with .002. I replaced the oil pump and the oil presure control valve. My next step is to get another new turbo, with the thought that this new one may be alowing too much oil to flow. The block was checked by a very good local shop that has always done very good work. Does anybody have any input?
