Question for Tx Jim and others: I have a 1964 3020D with Syncro Range Transmission. L-D lever has been in D position for years, which is probably where it should have been for drawbar and other work not requiring load and depth sensing. Would like to use on an F145 3-16 plow, so I moved lever to center position, between L and D. I was surprised the lever moved easily and was not frozen. Only problem: seems to be a high pitched whine coming from hydraulic area when lever is in this center position. Whine goes away when lever is moved back to D. What causes this? Will I damage system if I run with a whine?
