5010 or 20 Stuck Clutch

How did the 5010 or 20 with the stuck clutch plates turn out? We would like to know. Were you able to free it w/o a split.

I will have to split. IT is very stuck. The engine would stall driving in 5th gear and using the brakes and the clutch would stay engaged. It seems that there are some new ceramettalic disks that you can get. It will probably be better to change to that rather than the microfiber style.

Good news is that the steering problem is fixed. The tractor was just in deep ruts from sitting 22 years.... I jacked the front and he would steer no problem. After I moved it I could turn no problem. And as an aggravating factor I put a pair of 11.25 L24 (implements) tires in the front, to give a true row crop style, as the original 11-16 were shot. (He will get 20.8 38 duals in the back) and will have then just a bit of nose-up.

On the back tires: If you do not have a set of tires do a lot of shopping. Prices soft compared to last few years.
With enough looking you could probably find a set of step-up rims reasonable. If you have to buy new 42 inch probably
not much more than 38 inch.

I would stay with a fiber clutch. The ceramic clutches I've been involved with were very grabby.
