JD A radiator removal

Yesterday I took the radiator out of my 45 A . In the process all but one bolt broke off in the bottom tank . Then the 4 bolts holding muffler broke too. I figured this would happen. First I got the torch and heated all of them to a dull cherry red. taking care not to get into the core or gasket area. I got the wire welder out and welded a washer to each one, Then a nut, welding the outside of it then filling in the center . I got every one out with not much trouble. I ran a tap through each hole and put never seize on the new bolts. The reason I took it out in the first place was to fix a leak in the core. All told, I spent 4 hrs on it. Wasnt too bad. I never touched a drill, or an easy out. Welder is the way to go! I hope this info helps someone else out, as that is the reason I posted it.
