I posted a couple of days ago about how one goes about changing one of the hydraulic hoses that is located INSIDE the lower boom. It was darn near impossible to get wrenches in there to disconnect the line. The lower end of the line was easy. Well here's what you have to do. If the machine is running, extend the back hoe out as far as you can it will allow you more space between the lower cylinder and the wall of the boom. You still won't be able to get standard open in wrenches in there because it's 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" nuts on the fitting. However, the cramped space will actually jam the 1 1/8" nut on the crimp, and then you can get a crescent wrench in there to turn the connector. I had to put a little heat and some penetrating oil on the fitting to get it off. But it's off. My neighbor has a Case and all his hoses are on the outside of the boom. So much easier for sure.
