4030 Diesel engine

I saw that last night but by wife says I have way to many projects. I even have a engine here. That tractor should make some money when fixed up. Good luck. Tom

I have had a couple newer tractors with 359T and if it would fit they had good power and were very efficient.I don't know if I believe it but one I sold they claim burns less than 3GPH planting at 60% throttle with 6R planter. The narrow front open station would be very unique. When it was new everybody probably thought it was pretty plain but now the open station 30/40/50/55 series open station bring nearly what ones with cab do.I am not sure if 50/ 55 series was available with out as some have been removed.

What happened to the factory engine? What is the intended use for the tractor ? A natural aspirated 414 will make a reliable 110HP all day at 2100rpm without smoke.

Yes but you have to change manifolds, flywheel and injection pump! There are minor difference you must over come with fuel filter

Almost forgot there are other differences with front of engine! The cam /crank front cover plate is not proper for the factory oil pan! We had to cut off a part with a saw!

This is kind of interesting to me since I own a 4030 with a combine engine. We call it "Snarly" because it seems like it revs and bellows much more so than any 404 or 466 on the place.
Save me from looking it up, what's a 414 out of?

what's a 414 out of?

One tractor model that comes to mind is a model 7400
