R & R oil cooler to replace leaking o rings
After clean up we found "in" and "out" labels, should have marked it.
Just checking.....
Does the "in" go at the front? and"out" at the rear? This is with the printing right side up on the cooler flange.

Looks like someone got AWFUL carried away with a scuff pad! Hope none of that abrasive got into the cooler!
 
Makes no difference. will work either way. I agree, someone got a little die grinder happy!! I only use emery paper to clean surfaces like that. Use a dry gasket and no leaks. That one will require some type of sealant to prevent a leak!!
 
Yes they will work ether way the one port is a bit larger, and the manual does show a installation picture..
 
Yes, my "apprentice" does get carried away with the cookie wheels on the die grinder :x
