Picked up a 115 deere blade

After keeping an eye out for either a 115 or a 155 blade I ended up getting a 115 9 footer a month ago. I was worried about the 115 being heavy duty enough and was inclined to hold out for a 155. Glad I didn't as the 115 is a pretty heavy blade. I will have to be careful with it as I could tweak it if I tried hard, say hook a tree but it is one sturdy blade. Two cylinders and three axis. That's the reason for the post on SVC, I haven't had to use two for quite a while.

You will like that blade. I take it you have a 4020 ? if so that blade is just the right fit for it.

Yep same 4020. You made mention quite some time ago that it was a good blade and I think you are right in that it is a perfect fit for a 4020. I got this one in a 9 foot because the 8 foot I had was not covering the area needed when blading driveway when angled. This one with the pivoting boom will allow me to get the blade end out past the wheel which is really slick plus the tilt function for crowning is so much better than trying to manage that by cranking the draft links up or down,,,this can be adjusted as needed on the fly if I can get those dang dust caps out. Hope the 9 foot isn't too much blade. If it is I will find an 8 footer as the boom swing makes up.

Really wish the 3 point had better control. It is not very fine. when slightly adjusted it goes too far one way or the other and it tends to settle a bit from set position. May have to re-review which of the 3 depth settings is best for blade. Can't remember what its on but think it is on the correct setting.

Ours is a 9 foot on a gas 4020 and it has plenty of power for it. I can't remember what setting our 3 point is in but it works really nice and you can ease it up just a wee bit at a time.
If your 3 point is not leaking off check the book on the settings. You should be able to get it adjusted so it works smooth and in small increments.
