I have a 2002 JD 5220 and the steering (more so when cold) can be very jerky when turning the steering wheel either way. there is a noise associated with it as well. When the tractor warms up and the RPM's are high you hardly notice it.....but it is still there. The 3pt hitch works great and has lots of power. The Hydraulic fluid looks milky and not sure why? My initial thought is air being sucked in somewhere. Can you give any suggestions and where to look and can possibly be a totally different problem all together. I did read once in a forum about an o-ring somewhere but can't find that post again. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
