Mechanic has checked about everything he can check as to what is causing low clutch lube pressure. He said the clutch oil pump showed a little wear but nothing excessive. The last step is to split the tractor and check internally. Your thoughts?

bman, Hopefully you and Tim have this figured out!

FWIW, here's what the factory shop manual has to say...

Low Lubrication pressure...

Restricted oil filter
Low transmission oil level
Low clutch oil pump output
Stuck clutch oil filter relief valve or spring broken
Stuck oil cooler relief valve or spring broken
O-rings on adapters behind clutch valve housing missing or leaking
Torn gasket between valve housings
Packing between operating piston and clutch housing missing or leaking

Low clutch operating pressure...

Restricted oil filter
Low transmission oil level
Low clutch oil pump output
Weakened or broken pressure regulating valve spring
Stuck oil filter relief valve
Torn gaskets behind clutch valve housing
O-rings on adapters behind clutch valve housing leaking
Excessive leakage in operating piston
Stuck pressure regulating valve

Yes Bob low pump out put from wear is the problem "most" of the time,,he said the mechanic thought the pump was not "that" bad,,but if they look a "little" bad,, they are bad...it's kinda like telling your Buddy that his girl friend is not "that Ugly"...

It's been a while, and I didn't look up the whole "flo-rating" procedure, but it seems most guys dealing with some of this stuff enjoy buying $$$$ parts a LOT more than going through the factory shop manual procedure to figure out what's actually wrong.

And, without a factory TM, there's NO hope.

IIRC, anything that leaks the output pressure/flow of the clutch pump will reduced the bypass flow that goes to lube.
That includes the engine clutch, the two-speed, and the PTO clutch and brake and ALL seals, gaskets, O-rings, valves, and plumbing involved.

LOTS of things to check.

Wonder how that other fellow that posted here a while again about problems in that area turned out? He sure was resistant to following any help! (Oh, yeah, the name was "Francis".)

I have not heard how that all worked out for Francis, but you can rack up a lot of time searching for the answer on these, and a lot depends on what the tractor was used for the most, you need to take it all in as you go about the search...
