John Deere 530-whats a good plow for this tractor?

Hello, I recently bought a little 530 John Deere. I am starting to look for a plow for this tractor to restore them together. My question is, during this time frame of the 530, what plow was used with this tractor? I have a 55 abh but that's a little older of a plow than the time of the 530, right? I don't have a 3 point on it so I'm looking for some ideas of on land models. Thanks for your help in advance.

555h plow is what you want two 16s for heavy soils and she will pull 3 14s in lighter soils. 555 came out in 1958 i think .trip bottoms were availably and were standard with throw away shears

The 44H and 444H were both available when the 530 was new.

The 444H had safety trip standards but are rather rare and expensive when you actually find one.

The 44H was made starting in 1946, but was built all the way through or near to 1960. It has spoke wheels and is a good looking plow.

I have a really nice 44H (not painted, but all rebuilt and have used it several times) if you're interested, my email is open.

The 44H is the same age as your 55abh, they were both discontinued in '57' before the 20 series tractors ended production in early '58', & the 30 series tractors started in 1958 yr. 444H was produced all of '58' & is correct for 530... 2x14's in heavy soils , 2x16's in lighter soils, 444H plows with 'HS' moleboards are a little harder to locate [but they are out there] , and moleboards with replaceable shins & throw away shares are a great improvement over 2 piece moleboard on older 44 plow & 55 series[which were only 3 bottom] plows.. ................ The 810A mounted plow in 3x14 was a nice match for that tractor. I have one that I use on my 520 and it's a sweet setup.

The 530 was "Rated" for up to and including a 3x14", but with a Pull-Type 3x14" it will be too light and with original (12.4x36" rear tires) I think too short on traction for 3x14"...

2x16" (Pull-Type) would be a nice match for a 530 and (Maybe) a 3x14 if it is Mounted, so you can use the Draft control.

I had a GOOD "All-Fuel" JD 60 that would not pull a Mounted 3x14" (except for Creeper Gear)..!!!

On greasy clay here. A two furrow mounted plough is lots.
