Has anyone priced the brass colar on the clutch lately at john deere ? The c shap one that operates the clutch drive? I did today $501.00 plus tax .

Then again you could be grateful that the new part was even available.
What other heavy equipment manufacture, farm equipment manufacture or motor vehicle manufacture stocks parts for 55+ year old equipment?

I am not sure if your John Deere store has a way to Locate Inventory at other stores?
Here at Ford We Do, sometimes a store has a new part they had purchased years ago & it
has sat on their shelf for all those years. Often times we sell this Older inventory at
50 cents on the dollar. Ford expects me to just throw parts that have sat on the shelf
for over year in the dumpster, I won't do this! Then the next time that part is needed
Ford becomes the supplier for a Part we had but thrown out. Back to the Story.. I purchased
parts from a Kansas dealer for 25.00+ shipping for a part if my dealer orderd from Deere would
have been 125.00. I've also purchased both hydraulic lines for a 620 tractor from a dealer
in Texas for 50.00 each.. It's worth a shot......

I forgot to say I bought the very same brass fork for my 620 from a dealer out west
for around 150.00.. It's Idle New Stock, these stores are happen to get rid of older
inventory. I think@ that time is was 280.00. From Deere..

Don't listen to Bill!! I've got a better deal. Here in SE Nebraska, that same new tank is only $5,872.92. See, I saved you $293.65.
