35 loader capabilities

Does anyone have a spec sheet that can tell me what the load lifting ability was for the 1961 John Deere 35 loader with 2" cylinders? I have been over the one I have for the last two weeks and I'm thinking the cylinders need rebuilt or replaced. No evedence of leak down but it won't come off the ground with 1/2 a 6' bucket of soil in it. Hyd pressure is solid at all points when tested. Pressure re leaf valves are all clear and functioning. I'm at a loss.

Any help would be appreciated

Greg

I have a brochure for John Deere loaders that has the 37 loader in it. Rated lift is 1.050lb Breakaway lift 1.900lb Cylinder diameter is 1 3/4"

High or low pressure cylinders and what is the hydraulic psi? Just because it will lift 1200lbs absolute max break out capacity makes it a good idea to regularly pickup 1198lbs.

1 yard of mulch weighs 1000#, it might lift about 3/4 yard.. 1 yard of DRY soil weighs 2200# it might lift less than a half yard, 1 yard of medium sized stone weighs 3300-3500 #,it might lift less than a third of a yard.... any way you look at it about 800-900# is going to be the max it will lift, not to mention steering the tractor, unless it has power steering. It was designed as a manure loader, not a construction type loader

If the system is up to the spec's you indicate it should have no problem lifting the loads you describe..
My first question would be the accuracy of the test gauge !! Second would be how clean is the filter and lastly would be a defective pump.
