69/70 tach colors

I had a call on what year JD started using the black and white lettered tach colors .I was thinking 71/72 but don't have a 69/70 around but thought they stll had green and red also.Thanks

Larry, the original tachometers in both my '64 and '71 4020's had black faces with white lettering. I know the ones in between had varying colors on them, depending on whether they were Syncro-Range or Power Shift. Not sure if that will help you or not. Mike

I'm pretty certain that at least '69 still had the red and green.
I'm too lazy to check parts to see if '70 was the same number but
I expect it was.
Probably lost on computer parts but if you could find an old book
or fisch?

Without looking, I believe 70 models still had the red and green. And 71 and 72 were all black with white letters. Makes sense because that is also when the 4320s and 4620s came out. All the pics I have seem to reflect that.

69 and 70 had the red and green, but the needle was white, and not red like the 64-68.
