JD 2440 3 Point

I recently took on a custom spraying job for a friend with some orchard. He has a late 70's 2440 with a cab that I will be using to spray with. Serial tag is gone so I am not sure of the exact year. He decided to buy a new Rears pul-blast sprayer with a hitch that uses the 3 pt arms instead of the drawbar. I went the other day to get filter numbers to start doing some maintenance on the tractor and realized that the 3 pt hitch is a cobbled mess. The arms are extension arms and one extension is missing. To make it better, the arms to the rock shaft are home made and welded together. Basically, there is no way now to level the 3 pt arms. There is a JD 2420 with a bad transmission sitting at the farm as well with arms that are solid arms, not extension. It has good adjustable lift arms that go to the rockshaft. I was thinking, and hoping, I could just swap the entire set up from the 2420 to the 2440. I have looked up the parts catalog for both tractors on jdparts.com and they do not share a ton of the same parts, however I do not see why things would not swap over. I have limited time so before I embarked on this project I wanted to get any opnions anyone may have.

You must have some numbers transposed as there was no JD model 2420 tractor. My guess is the 3 pt components will interchange between the 2 tractors with little to no problems.

Hyd filter is AR75603
Engine oil filter is T19044
Fuel filer is AR50041
