Synthetic oil in John Deere G

Hello rebuilt my G a few years ago and haven't used it much but I change the oil every year. This year I was thinking about putting a full synthetic oil in it . Any thoughts?

Why would you even consider that? No more hours than you would run it there is no advantage.

Save your money and take the wife out for supper.
The oils that were in use when your G was new were
not even half the product of the poorest grade
engine oil on the market today.

Any gasoline oil of the proper viscosity will be
more than sufficient in your G.

My thinking exactly..... Why spend the $$
for oil, put in a crankcase that will make
condensate for a year... ??

I see no advantage in running synthetic unless you need it to start in extreme cold, or run in extreme heat.
