Adding a Second Remote to a Early 4020

I have a tractor that currently has only a single remote and need dual remotes to run my baler. I have a valve but it is not a dual valve, it is another single valve. Can I still use it to make a dual kit?

(If it is unclear I will try to explain a different way. I have two single remote valves can I use them both to make a dual remote valve)

If this is possible how do I go about doing this?

Thank you for your help!

You can add a valve similar to one for a frt end loader valve by teeing into hyd line in front of brake valve and returning oil to rockshaft return line.

You could also use a Fasse electric controlled splitter but that might cause battery problems if tractor still has 24 volt system.

I believe the valves are the same... you will need longer bolts to stack them together, seals, linkage, lines, and SCV. Plus whatever else I am forgetting.

I would buy the 2nd factory scv and lever .Your tractor will have more value and it will cost around $500+.The Fosse valve is fine and actually works best to make three valves like on a blade.I prefer things that are like factory.

I know I can add things and T into lines and I know I could buy the correct block but I want it to look semi original when I am done... Buying a the correct SCV is getting harder to find the cheapest one I have found is $800 that's why if I can just add two single remotes together it would be way cheaper for me.

The valves just stack but a real pain installing lines etc. like others said.

You might have to flip the operating shaft.
Wouldn't be a bad idea to remove them anyway and reseal.
I would probably use the electric one unless you
have a lot of time to spend.

RH & LH lines are different AND breakaway coupler at rear are different. As I previously stated adding 2nd valve, lines & rear coupler isn't similar to a stroll in the park.

I know it is not a walk in the park and I know the couplers are different and the lines are different. All I want to know is if I can stack 2 single valves to create a dual valve?

I just want to know if the insides work the same

Yes, the guts are the same along with the valve casting. They simply stack but the operating lever will have to be flipped to come out the bottom. You will also need the blanking plate to close up the end. Hopefully you can find the dash lever, linkage, and plate from a junk yard.

Yes, the factory single you have will bolt under first valve you have now, you need R49186 cover, 3 3/8 x 6 1/2 bolts [19H3328 at JD] you need new o-rings & packings between valves & new O-rings for lever , which need to be repositioned from top to bottom of valve, + rod & lever on dash.. Hyd. hoses can be used to a set of sae [pioneer style] couplers on back of tractor...
