My 60 has a funnel shaped oil cup towards the radiator on the fan shaft. The manual says to it service it every 250 hrs - it really doesn't say how. I've never put oil in it but would like to. How is that done and what kind of oil does one put in there? Is that cup assembly screwed into a port there? Can I remove the cup, clean it and re-install? Advice needed Thanks

It is one step from taking it off and installing a Zerk fitting to use a grease Gun on the bearing..
That Grease cup needs to be unscrewed and filled with cup-grease, then re-installed and screwed down until you know grease has been injected into the Fanshaft bearing,,
Otherwise, the governor will be squalling because the fanshaft is starving for grease..

Yep, what you said is what Im afraid of happening as time goes on, so I can install a zerk there and be fine, give it a shot or two once a month?

The old grease cup will work just find. it only needs a twist about once per year...!!!

They don't need a lot of grease..
