I apologize because I have asked this before but finally maybe able to get to it. My 4010 has had a steering issue since I've had it. Start tractor and wheels turn all the way left. Try to turn right the wheel won't turn but if you keep pressure on it the tires slowly turn right. After you get it all the wAy right the tractor will turn left and right properly. After like 30 seconds the steering wheel won't turn right again. But keep pressure on the wheel to the right the tires will go right then work decent again until it isn't steered for a few seconds. The hydraulics work properly so it couldn't be plugged screen or filter right??? Gotta be steering valve under the dash??? Not sure if I fix it or sell it or what to do. I hear getting steering valve out is a bi@ch and then have to test flow the pump??? It's not safe to drive on the road like this so here I am again asking for input. Thanks!!

You probably have a steer valve that needs rebuilt "and" the steer motor re-sealed, they could be the original seals and o-rings still in them, I would start with the steer valve, you can remove it and have it rebuilt, the slow movement while holding the valve points to the steer valve, the turning with out moving the wheel points to the steer motor (down front).

Yes and maybe some broken o-ring particles came back into the steer valve,,it does sound like the motor needs dealt with for sure..and it would be a good place to start...
