Reviewed the serial number information for the 48 Model A on <a href="http://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/snlookup.cgi?mf=JD&md=A+-+Styled">this website</a> and <a href="http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/0/2/25-john-deere-a.html">TractorData</a>.The serial numbers for 1948 start with 594433 and end with 620842.

Reviewed the John Deere Service Manual SM-2024 under the [b:654c4848f0]CARBURETORS USED ON TRACTORS, POWER UNITS, AND IMPLEMENTS[/b:654c4848f0] on page 10-5-5.
