torque specs

Can someone tell me the torque specs for the rods, cyl head and exhaust manifold on a 37 A? Thanks, Mark.

Mark, odds are the rods are still babbitt rods and will need shimmed. We worked on these tractors for years and never even owned a torque wrench. We just got them "tight". After years of practice you pretty well know when the torque wrench will click anyway. I believe the cylinder head nut torque on untreated head studs is 125 ft./lbs. and 150 ft./lbs. on treated (black) studs. On most A and 60 tractors I put some #3 Permatex on the outside vertical rails ONLY of the head gasket and tighten uniformly in 10 ft./lb. increments until tight. This has worked for me for many years. Mike
