M front under a B

I have a front axle off am M that's surplus to me. A fellow called last night wondering if it would go under a late B. I'm thinking that with enough cutting and welding most anything's possible, but it sure sounds like the hard place to start. Anybody out there ever take on such a project? Photos?

About 20 years ago I put a H front pedestal and wheels under the front of a Pullin G, It got it down to 4225 pounds without driver. Last I heard the tractor is some where in Western Kentucky.

I've seen several pullers done this way, supposed to be a simple swap. It holds up fine with 600# hanging 24" ahead of the tractor. I think you first need a sit pedestal such as off a wide front though ?

I was looking at an M front when I started my project . I figured that it might need some beefing up .

Yes, I followed that project but it didn't connect with me. It does show some similarities with an M. Thanks.

More work than it was worth fun I like to build and don't like anteater fronts . To build again I'd not build some things so heavy . And it steers harder than I thought . With the m front you won't have to mess around with the spindles .
