430w hydraulic reservoir

i need to add a hydraulic reservoir tank to my 430w as I have been working on adding a 3 point mounted forklift mast with a single action cylinder. I can only lift the forks halfway up before I run out of hydraulic oil in the system. I've heard of tractors with auxiliary tanks mounted but not real sure where it was plumbed into. I've heard of plumbing into the fill hole under the seat. I'm not sure if this is accurate or not. Seems like that would overflow it. Maybe that's not a big deal or maybe I'm misunderstanding. Hoping one of you can shed some light on the right way to do this. Thanks

JOHN Deere had a kit to add a auxiliary reservoir on Dubuque tractors (service bulletin Dub-355) It adds a two or three gallon tank mounted on left bottom inside fender. They cut the pump suction line on the left side of the transmission case. Front part of old line goes into reservoir fitting. Another fitting out of reservoir goes into suction port of the touch O matic.

Anyone use a copy of this service bulletin they could scan and email to me? Or a picture of a tractor with this setup on it? Thank you

This is not based on my experience, just my judgment:

Mount the auxilary tank NO LOWER than the TOM housing. I would not expect the hydraulic pump to have much "suck", so the pump inlet ought to be no higher than the return reservoir.

When I bought mine it had a tank hanging off the back of the seat that held around a couple quarts. Had a hose than ran down to the fill hole under the seat with a custom cap. The guy that had it before me had a loader on it. Worked for him I guess.

Actually, that pump will "suck the oil out of a low mounted tank. On the "C"s, 40C, 420C, etc, that tank is mounted low on the right side between the center frame housing and the side frame plate at the level of the foot plate.
