just wanted to update you guys on project theromostart.. got around to drilling & tapping manifold intake and fitted 2 heater plugs.. hadn't finished the plumbing when this pic was taken.. so far it's working good, tractor starts after 5 - 6 seconds cranking at 0 degrees... may fit a 3rd plug so all intakes are getting heat

How does the Diesel feed the Thermostart, are there check valves needed?

What kind of switch did you use to activate them and what's the silver tubes going into the ports you drilled? I think I would do the 3rd on also.

diesel is fed from the return line (cut just before it enters the tank so low pressure but the pipes to the thermostart fill when the tractor is running.. the piping hasnt been completed yet in pic.. used clear pipe so I can see that there is diesel in the pipes.
used a 30a relay with fused feed from battery and just a normal push button switch in cab
