Rebuilding pioneer conversion hydraulics

It was a nice warm day here today, so I started on rebuilding the number one scv couplers on my 4430. I've got the I&T manual for it, but my tractor has had the pioneer conversion kits put in. I got the O-ring and seal kit from John Deere here in town, but the kit came with page two only of the instructions. I've gotten as far as getting the valve stem pounded out, but that's it. How do you fellas get that little ring out of the casting that holds the whole operation in there? The dealership had went through the couplers not to long ago, and they were alright, but there was oil running out the stem whenever pressure was on that line. Let me know how you guys go through these. Thanks

I use an o-ring pick and small flat screw driver good light and chair, not in a hurry and sometimes use bad words on it,much harder to remove after iso conversion couplers are installed

If it would be possible trade your existing ones for ones off a 50/55 series. JD should have stuck with them as the new ones on our 6430 and 6170 have given trouble and they replaced them rather than try and fix them. The couplers aren't the only thing as the electronics and air quality devices for pollution have also given problems.
