My sediment bowl was off for a long time. When reassembling, is it bowl, screen, gasket, or bowl, gasket, screen? Or does it not make a difference? Thanks

Screen inf first to the assembly then the gasket which helps hold the screen in then the sediment bowl

Thanks guys..........DY

Here is another question. My bowl assembly has the oil controlled shutoff. One of the tiny oil tubes leaks at the fixture. What is the fix for that? I don't want to tighten the nut so much that it twists the tube. Is it too small for Teflon tape? DY

You could use brake line if you want.

Those nuts go into the tractor main case and used one up behind the dash too.

Thanks Dan...............DY

My 53 didn't have the oil shut-off, but I added the ball valve after forgetting to shut off the fuel and dumping 1/4 tank in the crankcase. It's ugly and sticks out beside the hood -hard to forget !

I replaced my auto shut off with a regular shut off. The auto shut off worked fine, but with the crappy gas we have, I like to shut off the fuel and run the carb out of gas. I also replaced the bowl drain plug with a petcock to drain the rest if it wasn't going to be used for a while.
