2630 throttle

MY 2630 hand throttle: when running engine wide open will, without any warning, go down to about half (tach don't work) throttle. Throttle is still in wide open position. I have, 50/50 mix on diesel, changed fuel filter,and cleaned air filter. Still does same thing. I'm thinking something is going on with injector pump. What do you guys think? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance:<) Dick

If throttle handle stays in the set position and rpm's vary then governor in inj pump is at fault.

Does it Idle down and stay at low Idle speed, to where it near kills the engine??

It will run normal, between the speed it wants to run and idle.

I'm still kinda wondering if your return fitting is clogging ,,remover the timing cover on the pump and start it up, see if it makes a difference on the RPM's,, a little fuel will leak out but not too much to let it run...

Thanks for the advise. I found the problem, "grandkids", had to clean fuel tank and put on another new fuel filter.
