When you say "battery is dead," you mean it
won't turn over?

I had a John deere 300 industrial (ag version
was 1020) that would do that. It would leak
hydraulic pressure somewhere, and the starter
would be trying to turn over the hydraulic pump
too.

A few quick jerks of the steering wheel right
before turning the key relieved enough pressure
that it would then start right up. I know,
sounds stupid. But it works. Give it a try
before you buy a new starter, cables,
batteries, etc.

You're all over the place!
If hyd oil is getting in the crankcase you have an early 2020 with steering pump on the front of the engine. The seal is leaking.
#13 is not a nut. The plastic tubes go to the hydraulic pump above the front axle. It is flared. The other tube slips over the barbed nipple on your shifter cover.

"Solenoid" for what? You lost me.

Not that what you have in the parts photo has
anything to do with hydraulic oil in the crankcase
- but I suggest you order a new #8 direct from
Deere. It's a hose near impossible to get anywhere
else and when it blows - you lose a LOT of
hydraulic oil - fast!

Because you have open center power steering there are three tubes connected to the hex fitting on top of the reservoir. It does not matter which nipple the tubes are connected to.
