1938 JD G value

Hello, I was recently approached by a neighbor who has a 1938 John Deere G. I don't know a whole lot about it yet, other than it's a 38', runs good, but needs restored. It also has cut off rear rims, flat spokes of course. I haven't ran over there to see it yet. He's thinking it's worth $4,000 but he doesn't know for sure. Does anybody have any input to this? I haven't seen many G's sold for several years so I lost track of their value. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

As usual its location is a determining factor in value.

Hello and thank you to all who replied with your input. I had a chance to go look at it. I actually decided to buy it myself, in hopes of restoring it. I appreciate all of your help and if I decide to sell it, I will keep in touch with anybody who was interested. Thank you
