All,
Am needing to move some equipment about 20 miles and fit them through a ~13' 2" wide gate in the spring.
Likely the heaviest thing we have is a 1630 disk plow. Any idea how much it would weigh? It measures only an inch or two less than the gate width. Considering loading it on a goose neck trailer sideways, minus tongue.
Have some other things to load as well. These are the things that I believe will likely need to be loaded sideways: 3pt JD 1100 field cultivator, 3pt JD 7100 planter (6 row) , related 3pt JD cultivator (6 row), IH 55 chisel 15 shank 3pt, IH 10 drill (13' 4" wide), and possibly 21 disc JD one way?
Was considering purchasing a front end loader (perhaps like the Kyoker 740 legend (rated at 4200# fully extended)), mounted to a JD 4430. Not sure if that combination would be appropriate to load these onto a ~32 ft. goose neck flatbed.
Wanted to see if anyone had related experience and could confirm if this front end loader approach was appropriate with respecting to lifting capacity and necessary reach over the trailer.
Any guidance would be appreciated?
Merry CHRISTmas!
