M spark plugs

What spark plugs does everybody like in dubuque two cylinders. Mine has champions right now but they badly need replaced.

Also is there any tips to tuning the carb on a M. Mine is running so rich right now it looks like a diesel. I do have a service manual.

Thanks

My Dubuque tractors get Autolite 216 and my Waterloo
tractors get the Autolite 3116, both are stocked at TSC.
Sometimes using an Autolite 437 on the #1 cylinder on the
Dubuque tractors will make them start better.

Just found this info on my iPad (sorta works like my brain) you know it is there just slow on retrieval.

Non resistor Autolite 216 or 437. Solid core wires. Is the shaft bushing worn in the distributer?

I agree with autolite 437. I'd also suggest, while you're on that side of the tractor, check the timing, rotor/cap, and points gap. then move to the other side and replace the filter oil at the correct level. finally adjust the carb.

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up buying autolite 216.

I ended up with bigger problems than sparkplugs though. I posted awhile back about the governor failing and destroying itself and the cam gear. I tried unsuccesfully to replace the cam gear while the cam was in the motor. In doing so I knocked the plug loose on the other end of the cam so when I started it this morning it sprayed oil out of the bellhousing as soon as it got oil pressure.

I already split the tractor and I will replace the rear crank seal as long as I have it split. ThenI can worry about tuning up ignition and carb.
