830 Pony Start Carb Kit

I installed the new cables and battery and the pony start will start and run the main engine but the pony is little weak. I am going to rebuild the carb and the fuel diaphragm. Where is the best place to get these parts(carb kit and diaphragm kit)? Is the John Deere dealership the best or is there another suppier?
 
There seems to be plenty. I removed the sediment bowl and checked the screen and it all looked good.I am thinking it is actually the points creating the real issue. I am going to put a carb kit and new points and condensers as well just to be sure.
 
Roberts Carb Repair in Spencer Ia. has a carb kit for v-4 pony motors for $30.90. I was thinking that they had ignition parts for them too, but maybe all the ignition parts they have for pony's is plug wires.

There are two different types of ignition wires and two types of coils. if mixed they don't work worth a darn.
 
That's good to know. I can't see it being to much as the rest of the tractor is in great shape.

Interesting looking rear hubs on this one...
Look different than ones just flipped around. Hard to tell from this angle. Been a while since I've been under my 830 and looked at the inside of my hubs.

They were a homemade duals conversion from a couple of owners ago. They will be coming off and the original castings will be going back on.
