I just bought this tractor and got it running and failed to check to make sure everything was attached properly and this is the result, there was 1 bolt holding the bolster on and it bent and came out when I made a turn.It was a hard landing, just glad I wasn't going down the road wide open, probably would not be here now.Ron

Did you check your pulse after you got off? Years ago a neighbor dropped the front end of his 60 into a tile hole and ended up with a stomach hernia from hitting the steering knob. I too think the previous owner or someone connected with him might know something about it.

My cousin did something simlar with a 4010 when it was almost new only his had all 4 bolts in it. He was plowing, had a whole front rack of front weights. When he got to end of the field the front end was light, turned the wheels then lifted the plow, when the front end hit the ground it snapped the front end off and buried the whole rack of weights in the dirt. Front end laid under the rear.

I bought the tractor at an auction, they said it had been setting for 20 years so I doubt the old boy that owned it would remember what had or hadn't been done to it that long ago.I just had a big bruise on my leg,if ihad been going fast I would have gone completely over the top.It was setting there spinning so had to grab the clutch and then the compression release quick.Ron

Years ago my Uncle had a Graham Bradley working it in the field and it broke at the bell housing threw him up on the hood banging him up. We always thought it was odd he went out and bought another one.

WoW! I bought a unstyled A from a guy in South Dakota one time and on the way home to Virginia with it the interstate was so rough that it made my trailer and tractor bounce so bad that it made the rear wheel and hub slide off the axel. Thankfully a trucker pulled up next to me and warned me of the problem before the whole wheel fell off onto the road. I stopped right away and put on some straps I had with me on the wheel to help hold it on and went real slow to the next exit. There was a truck stop there that had a big shop But it was closed because it was New Years Eave 8:00 PM>. I looked threw the shop
door windows and saw a guy in there working on a trailer. I raped on the glass and he heard me and opened the door. I told him the problem and he helped me jack up the tractor and with a big impack wrench helped me get the wheel back on. I think the guy I bought the tractor from had swapped wheels with another tractor before I bought this one and did not tighten things back up. If that wheel had fallen completely off no telling how bad of an accident it would of caused
