John Deere 40 3 point adjustment

Just helped a guy put a new rockshaft housing on a John Deere 40 he bought. Everything works except it loads the pump when you lift the hitch all the way up. Any tips on adjustment? Thanks.

If it's loading the stroke is off and pushing against the housing you just replaced. You need to get a service manual to adjust it properly before that housing gets busted. You might try loosening the quadrant bolts a tad and see if it will move forward a tad. This will move the stroke back a tad and should help.
