seems like I been messing with this 7 weekends in a row, sorry to bother you gentlemen, but this is how much ive got done,i added a new dual pump, and still nothing whatso ever,so I pulled out the clutch valve housing,to get to the drice gear cause I felt slack in it,i got that off,and gear and shaft is complete, but lot of wear in the woodruff key areas of drive gear and shaft, mainly on the sides of each where more turning force is needed, but key was in place, but it fell to bottom, and by looking at it while I could see part of it,im not sure if it was all complete, the wear don't look like it was totally gone from the keys it turns because I don't see no galding in gear or shaft,im this far in it so may change out shaft and gear anyway because of the wear, but my question is,could there be trouble in the housing itself where all the steel oil passabes plug in?i plan on changing out all the small orings while I got it opened, looks like id need 10 or so,but the relief valve ,im going to pull out and check as well,

reason for pulling this drive out,was because with new pump put in,and I poured 5 gallons or close in front sump,in case id need prime to get new pump going and so there would be oil in there to pick it up,well after I pulled new pump back out, there is still oil in the housing but not as much as I poured in to it when getting ready to try new pump,is why I pulled drive gear and shaft out to look at closer, bringing me to the conclusion of wondering if that drice isn't turning pump or if theres an internal leak,or is oil stopping circulation because of a stuck relief valve, any help or more thinking is appreciated, thanks in texas

AFAIK, scavenge/transfer pump simply pulls oil in through the front sump screen, then pushes it to the back section of the tractor with NO valves or pressure regulators involved.

Do you know which rubber hose in the hinge area carries this oil rearward?

If so, when you get the shaft and key and clutch valve assembly back in place, take the oil transfer hose off at the back and direct it into a bucket, and start the engine.

Should fill up the bucket pretty darned quick!

yes sir I will try that to make sure its working,,but its all new and should bob,so if it is,and im still not getting hydraulics, where do you suggest to look at?im going back down there Wednesday I believe to put gear and pump back in,and have a look at the housing I took off tractor to get to drive gear for pump, and before that going to change the small orings that connect to that housing as well, thanks bob
