John Deere BO??

This tractor is for sale locally. Owner says it is a BO. It looks like a regular B row crop that has been modified. Can you John Deere experts help out in identifying this model? Is it authentic?
No tag, thus no serial numbers or year/model.
Thanks
Mike

Modified (butchered) tractor. Home made front axle, fenders, borrowed wheel equipment. BR/BO never had the exhaust through the hood. Row crop steering would be completely different.....thinking AR?

There was also a BI....industrial. That is what is looks like to me. Chunky front axle. exhaust through the hood. Front of rear fenders squared off.

What do they want for it ? If cheap enough it would make a good conversation piece. Wonder if they know what it is or if they got taken and want to pass it along ?

Sorry, not a BI either. Front axle looks like it might have once been part of a combine.

The way to tell if its a BR or BO on the BO they had turn brakes, unless some one ordered a Br and wanted turn brakes the dealer would order a BO and put BR sheet metal on it.
I would buy it if the price were right and the heck with the correct police.

Yeah, it is kind of cute. If you can have some fun with it, who cares about its parentage?

Yeah, I would too. Except he wants $5500 for it. It's been for sale forever, but my instinct tells me it isn't worth more than $3500 tops.

Appears to be a long frame row crop B that
someone spent some time on to switch around...
or at least the front half is. It is too long
to be a BR or BO.

That being said, the steering gear appears to
be switched to a BR type.

A picture of the final drive would help a
little.

It is kinda cool... but not as cool as a BR.

I can see why it has been for sale forever.

It's definitely a mongrel. I would hate to offer the $3500 for fear he would take it. Save your money for a real one, in my opinion. Mike

Here is a BR to compare it to. It's not even close. I've seen this
tractor several times for sale. I might sell this one if you are
really looking for one.

No I have no intention of buying.
This one's for sale.... what do you think it is worth? Seen it running in a video, looks very good, EZ start, no smoke, not a lot of tranny whine. I believe a decent example 1941 B

Mine is a 1936 all original factory round spokes front and rear.
Not sure what it's worth but I wouldn't let it go for less than
7500. Not sure what the one you are looking at would be
worth. Looks like several add on with the frame at the front
and hydraulic lines and the muffler. What are they asking?

$5900

May be worth that but don't think I would . Not sure what area
you in . They may bring more in different places. I'm in Miss.
Not many BR 's down here.
