hello all, i just wanted to let everybody know what happened to me...
I have been working down in houston the last couple months, fly down on monday, leave friday night, so i always take a couple T/C & G/M with me for the flights. Well last monday night i had both new issues with me, barely made it into one of them, then monday night, in the restaurant parking lot my rental car was broke into and my laptop bag was stolen. 2 company laptops, 10 weeks worth of flash drives and back ups, previous job data, etc etc etc...and BOTH magazines...side note, we were in the parking lot 7 GD MINUTES when they busted the back glass and away they went, and the car alarm never went off...
So, I got home and sent emails to both asking to purchase replacement magazines, they BOTH replied within a few hours and said they were sorry to hear about that and would send me replacements!
That is exactly why i will remain a subscriber as long as they both in print. They could have charged me and i would have been happy to pay, but they didnt. That speaks volumes about the people behind the publications.
I know that everybody has their own opinions of each, but this much i know, it cant be easy making a magazine to such a select market and they do what they have to do to stay in business, but if that day comes that they chose to no longer remain in business, there most likely wont be anything that replaces them. Then what?
I always wonder what will become of this hobby as time marches on, so i buy my friends kids subscriptions to Little Green Magazine to try and get them hooked haha.
Anyway, its always easy to muther F someone, but very few people take the time to compliment when its due. I wanted everybody to know how they treated me.
lastly, i learned, that my laptop bag will ALWAYS go with me, inside a restaurant or other wise, and i hope that the p ricks that took them at least thumbed through them and who knows, maybe it changed 1 life HAHA
