How "tuff" is the PTO brake on a 4430 powershift? Got one in shop w/issues in c2/pto clutch pack that caused pto shaft to turn/drag when disengaged and am considering second split to replace brake. Thanks, john
 
Thanks for reply. Blew compressed air in PTO test port at valve hsg today and could hear brake activate, but also could turn PTO driven shaft by hand at same time.(tractor is split) Guess I'll pull clutch hsg too.
 
Ooh yes I'm sure the pad is worn off, so you may as well do it right while you have it cracked open and be sure to check the anchor pin in the brake piston.
