can an articulated tractor lose all of its hydraulics because of something losing oil in the gear or area around the center front hinge in clutch area of tractor?i was told to change the pump and did and same thing going on,no hydraulics, luckily im doing all this work myself to save from a dealer cutting my nuts off, could there be something in the top area where [lanetary go in and clutches?thanks
I can pull top drive shaft, then plate, then gears out to check all of that out,but has anyone ever seen that have a problem?

just need assistance in knowing if anyone knows what else to look for,no blame policy here, just trying to do whatever it takes to get hydraulics right

Francis, TimS and I have TRIED to help you.

You have an issue with the transfer/scavenge pump not returning oil to the rear section/reservoir.

THAT is the problem that needs to be figured out/solved, but you insist on looking elsewhere?????

Furthermore, you told us you have the factory service manual, which has a troubleshooting flow chart that should enable you to quickly isolate the problem.

I wish I was in your area... It would be fun to quickly get to the bottom going on!

I know, and I appreciate it,maybe I bought a bad pump in pieces from dealer but I guess they said bring it back to be looked at if it didn't help, might need to run some fluid in the clutch area to prime it I guess might help, till it gets going,i got the time to mess with pump area ,the pump got to be the problem, because now its not pulling it out of the back reservoir like it used to,but could be and I just don't realize it,all I know is I still don't have hydraulics ,im sure ill get to the bottom of it,but when jd told me they gotta pull the cab, thats when I didn't want them to cone get it just yet, till I mess with pump situation further, there is some questions about this new pump I still gotta ask them but im thinking they are growing tired of me asking questions too I wish tim would come see tractor and id pay him to get me going too but its a couple hundred miles away, hell he could stay at the farm over night if he wanted also,i was told by jd that if this pump was not functioning they sold me to bring all parts back so I am,then going to let one of their mechanics open it and put it back together for me,i know what im doing with it but they might have the right touch, this pump was all new to me when I met it,you all might remember me for having the 7020 with triples and the problem I had one time with the rear pump breaking is why I was quik to wonder if the 8630 could have done it too,but I listened to u guys and didn't pull the rockshaft because like you all said, fluid was coming out of the rear and storing in the front, and I seen that, now nothing was in the front, but also has fluid in the rear, ill try again with the pump,i had just too many other things I had to do for a couple of weeks and found time over the weekend to mess with it ,but yeah,im going to get this thing going guys,i just needed someone looking over my shoulder, and I like that, ill keep you informed too, till next weekend im going to let deere assemble the pump I did buy in pieces maybe theres something im not seeing, like tim said, you cant see the wear in it,but its there to make it not pick up oil,or pump it,it is easy to change in n out now,and while I got tractor sitting all way to right im going to leave it till I get pump that I bought back apart, looked at,then reassembled its a puzzle, everything goes in one way,the right way and no way else, ttyl bob n tim

This might be way out in left field but, have you checked the clutch pedal linkage for a corn stalk or stick holding the pedal from fully engageing ?? I run into this once ,drove me crazy. But testing oil pressure should have showed it . Sir in all respect, read the teck. manual. Its all in there .

No insult but get a perscription for Concerta 18,27,36 or 54mg once daily first thing in the morning. This does not make you a bad or weak person. Then follow the service manual. If oil is staying in the sump then either the suction or discharge pipe work or valving are plugged or closed. Or the pump is not pumping.

ok buik n deer, heres the problem,i did change out my pump, and all is very new and 1700 on it,and nothing, but I know I got a new pump now,but took a Xanax instead, because concertas is to concentrate and focus my old lady says, shes the dr in the house, went to school for about 8 years for it,but im trying to do the best I can,she wants me to get the 9630 but im not sure I need all that hp,but if shes going to pay for it then mine as well but am going to keep the 8630,had it since I got out of hi school, and got the 7020 when I was in jr hi
john deere told me the pump I got is good now,and so is my old one

bob tim and buik,i got another set of pump gears, and housings so all would be new for a 2nd time, other parts tolerances were off in couple areas,so ill try again this weekend to put it on tractor and see what goes on,the main 2 housings on pump are like 750.00 each, and each gear is about 175.00 at cheapest, and then bigger gear around 200.00 plus, but yeah gonna try again on pump
