Finally finished this after a few years of on and off quality time.
Curious - is the hydro-lift rated for a maximum lift and can it be damaged if overloaded?

The short answer is no. We used one for years here on the farm. Anything too heavy for the touch-o-matic to lift simply picked up the front end of the tractor.
 
Nice! Can't remember ever seeing a maximum lift shown anywhere but I do know you can't overload it and harm anything. The front of the tractor just go's up instead of whatever you're trying to lift. Found this out decades ago with a boom pole hooked to a Detroit power unit for my sawmill. Ended up skidding that bugger.
