M governor failure

The governor on my M stopped working so while I was making sure all the linkages were connected I noticed the governor case was split in three pieces. I pulled the sheet metal/radiator /fan and pulled the governor off. The weights were wedged together on one side of the shaft. The shaft was bent. The governor gear was missing a few teeth. The cam gear is missing about ten teeth.

The rear governer shaft bushing is ruined. How do you remove that and where can I get a new one it is NLA from deere. My other question is what does anybody think may have caused this failure?

Thanks

I had one come apart in the 440 crawler once. It was just worn out and the weight broke at the pin holes. It jambed up in there and broke the bushing boss in the block. Found out upon disassembly the front main bearing web was cracked too. May not of been related ? I think the same gov. fits many models even the LUC power ?

Complete governors show up on ebay all the time reasonable.

The main reason the governor disentigrates like that is the linkage rod wasn't set properly. It bottomed out and destroyed it's self.
