have a john deere 35 loader coming up close to me on auction. trip bucket. wonder about it for my 2510. would that loader handle big round bales? mine "usually" weigh around 1300 lb, some bigger some smaller.

I have a #35 on a 430 JD and it works good on it. Mine was trip bucket but I converted it to hydraulic. That said I don't think it is heavy enough for your 2510. I saw one adapted to a 3010 and I assume it worked. The parts books list 3 different cylinders for lift depending upon what year it was built. I assume because of the difference in hydraulic pressures. Your 2510 would have the higher pressures and a closed system so if the loader came off of an older tractor you would need to change a lot. I think my loader will lift more than 1300 pounds. I think there are loaders better suited to the 2510.

Trip buckets & moving rd bales doesn't go together very well. 35 parts catalog shows mounts were available for a 3010 so if the one in question has the correct mounts it should fit a 2510. If this loader has an ind hyd valve be sure it's a closed center valve.

More tractor than loader. A 35 and a two cylinder Dubuque are a match.

I have a duall 250 on it now, which works, but it's pretty old and got some welds on it. thought if this would work just as good I could add cylinders to make it dump. just was not sure about weight limit on it before I would fold on itself.

In my opinion, you would be better served to save up and find a 47, 48, or 148 loader for your 2510. Even an older 46 or 46A would probably work much better and be cheaper in the long run than the 35. My opinion. Mike

As I previously stated a 3010 is listed in the model 35 FEL parts catalog.

I agree with Mike that there's a lot better choices of JD FEL's available.

I agree with Mike and Buick. One of the things about hauling round bales is you have so much of the weight so far in front of the tractor. It's a lot different than having 1300 pounds in the bucket.

I have a 46A loader that I was going to put on my 2510 but now have a skid loader and do not have any use for the loader. Located in northeast Nebraska if you are interested.
