John Deere B Manifold Studs

I completely rebuilt the engine on my B several years ago. The manifold studs were so rusted that I had to drill them out of the manifold to get the manifold off. I had the machine shop remove the rest of the stud from the head when he worked on it. I sealed the new studs with a thread sealant, but after a year or so of running the studs have started leaking a small amount of antifreeze up through the thread into the head. It seems that the stud got too hot for the sealant I used and is leaking. Is there some sealant I can use that will prevent this.

Use the correct studs- they have oversize threads on the end that goes in the head so that they don't leak. Then apply a high temp thread sealant. Loctite is NOT high temp.
