Late model D

I have in my collection a Model 'D' tractor, serial number 191661, It was built 7-3-53. It is a 'Hand Crank" model .
Is it possibly that it is the newest John Deere that is equipped with the 'Hand Crank' fly wheel that still around? Built before the electric starter. Thanks.

Yes. 191579 and up are streeters.
I should mention that quite a few of the last D's were shipped to Arkansas and other areas where they tended to buy bare-bones tractors, so the OP's tractor may or may not be the last hand start.

I realize that there were either 8 or 9 built after mine, I know some of them were exported, other junked, the jest of my question was, do U fellows actual know of any other John Deere built after mine with the "hand Crank Flywheel still this side of China, that means cut up for scrap. Thanks .
