Jd a live pump

I just put a live pump and a baker valve on my jda. I put a
block off plate in. But I don't seem to be getting any hydraulic
pressure. Any thoughts or directions to try

Is the pump disconect working right. The pump may not be turning even though the selector says it's engauged.

Should be able to get oil seals for it. If it is a JD pump the parts list is in the back of the parts books IIRC.

hey 48JD,
I had a similiar problem with a 1951 "A" I just bought. I wasn't getting any oil flow and it felt like the pump disconnect was working but upon close inspection I discovered the shift splines were so worn that even though it was in the right spot it wasn't actually driving the pump. Just something to look at. Deere still has the seal also so I changed it while I was in there. Working well now. Good Luck!

Same thing happened to mine. I put in new seals and it still didn't work. Turned out it was the o-ring seal for the disconnect shaft that was letting air in and keeping it from pulling hydraulic oil properly, so you should replace that too, and put some silicone grease on it.
